Appointments
Pre bookable appointments are available both morning and afternoon:- these can be booked anytime other than for evening appointments which are booked 1 week in advance.
Immediate access appointments are available morning and afternoon to book from 8am on the day. The lines do become very busy so please be persistent.

Online Appointments
Our practice has been enabled to take
online appointment bookings. In order to make use of this facility, you must be registered as a patient with our practice. Only then can you register with this service. You can register for this service by visiting us at De Montfort Surgery.

Urgent Appointments
Urgent appointments are available after assessment by the nurse/on call doctor. Please telephone 0116 222 7272 during opening hours. If you feel it is an emergency for that day you may be asked what the problem is, this will enable us to deal with your emergency and guide you to the appropriate Health Professional.
Emergency and Urgent Home Visits
If you are too ill to come to the surgery, please ring preferably before 11.30am and the receptionist will take details. Non-emergency visits are usually done when the on call doctor has finished the morning surgery. If it is a medical emergency, please make that clear when you speak to the receptionist and leave a telephone number, as the duty doctor may well ring you back for further information and directions.
Please be aware that home visits are strictly for patients who ar eseriously ill and whose medical condition prevents them from attending the surgery. Please be aware that the doctor can see six patients at the surgery in the time it takes to do one home visit.
Late Attendance
Please ensure that you arrive on time for your appointment, as it is not always possible to fit you into the surgery at another time. You may be asked to rebook your appointment.
Cancellations
If, before your appointment, you no longer need to see the doctor, then please ring the practice to let us know. We will then be able to offer your slot to another patient.
Out of Hours Information
Out of Hours emergencies are covered by the Out of Hours Communications Centre. NHS Leicester City Primary Care Trust are responsible for commisioning the out of hours service between 6.30pm and 8.00am Monday to Friday, weekends and on statutory bank holidays.
If you require urgent medical attention outside normal hours please ring 0845 045 0411. If it is an absolute emergency ring 999.
